I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding a persistent and serious issue involving a neighbouring property located opposite my garden. A large, unmanaged tree on the adjoining property is causing the following significant problems: 1. Severe blockage of natural light to my property, particularly affecting [rooms/garden area], reducing my ability to reasonably enjoy my home. 2. Interference with my internet signal, as the tree obstructs the line of sight needed for [satellite/wireless/fixed wireless] service. 3. Ongoing physical damage to my fence, caused by encroaching roots and overhanging branches. This has resulted in considerable financial burden, with the need for repairs and ongoing maintenance. 4. The situation appears to be part of a pattern of anti-social behaviour, as I have made previous requests to the neighbour which have been ignored or met with hostility. The lack of cooperation is exacerbating the issue. I believe this matter may fall within the remit of the High Hedges or Statutory Nuisance provisions under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 and/or the Environmental Protection Act 1990. I have documented evidence, including photographs and written records, which I am happy to provide upon request. I would appreciate it if the council could investigate this matter and advise what steps can be taken to resolve it. If applicable, I would also like to formally request the initiation of a High Hedges complaint and ask for guidance on submitting the appropriate forms and any associated fees.
